Circum Network inc. contributes to a Copyright Board Canada decision
The
Copyright Board Canada has rendered a decision today in the establishment of a tariff for the private copying of prerecorded music on blank media. The
text of the decision states that "the Board took into consideration the comprehensive body of evidence brought forward by participants to the proceeding in setting the new levies. The increases in the levies reflect, among other things, the significant changes in private copying behaviour since last year". These changes are described in a report presented to the Board by
Circum Network Inc. entitled
Étude de marché sur la copie privée d'enregistrements musicaux au Canada, 2000. The
Canadian Private Copying Collective has graciously allowed us to add this report to other reports from recent years which illustrate the type of
research and management consulting Circum Network Inc. does.
