Assessment of a sustainable development strategy
In 1995, federal legislation was enacted to help strengthen the government's performance in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development. This legislation required that certain ministers prepare
sustainable development strategies for their departments and table them in the House of Commons.
Circum Network was involved in the implementation audit of the
Canada Economic Development sustainable development strategy as well as in the overall assessment of the 1997-2000 strategy. The conclusions of this evaluation and the action plan for the period 2000-2003 are presented in a document published by CED under the title "
